True love!!! - a bit emotional incident.

I seldom likes movies or stories ending up in a sad way but this blog today is something I really felt I need to share. So if anyone who expects some funny part in this blog please switch over.

Also, since there are 2 characters with same name, a small intro about that.
Black-Cat (Generation 1) - Mother of Black cat (Generation 2)

Now in to this story :) This starts some 3 years back. If you travel towards southern sub-urbs of Chennai, you can find a town, which is developing at the speed of light. Yes its Madipakkam, later in 2015 will be known as Maddy City .. ? In this beautiful place, you can reach my home and if you still travel to Poojai room, you will hear a scream of few new born kittens. A cute Black-Cat(Generation 1), which grew its kitten in the pooja room, makes a sweet sound, which was earlier hated by everybody in our family. But the Black-Cat(Generation 1) knew that this place is safer than any other place in this town and continued to grow its children till they finds their way to live.

Later, when the kittens starts to crawl and roam around that room, Black-Cat(Generation 1) moved out of our pooja room and stayed near the Hall. Later, someday the BlackCat left the home and only the kittens were in our home. After few weeks, out of the 5 kittens :) 3 left to other place and finally remained the 2 cats :) a black and a white (Generation 2). They were so cute that it got attentions from my mom and as well as from me. This Cat, unlike its mother, come to home but never goes to Kitchen. Since, it will find some food in hall itself. ?

Things went so sweet we noticed that the black cat is getting fatter. And in one rainy day, it gave birth to few kittens(Generation 3). The kittens(Generation 3) roamed our home and later they got an elder status and we thought they also left home as usual, but still the Black and White cat (Generation 2) stayed in our Home. After few months the black-cat(Generation 2) again became fatter :) this is a clear example for how someone gets busy when they have no work. ? And this time it felt not to grow the kittens outside my home, since its no safer anymore. Later part of time, we came to know that there was a Golden colored cat :) Villan :) which kills the kittens when the mother is not near them.

Time went by and black-cat grew up the kittens in my room with love. I could just say the love it showed to its kitten are as sweet as Love exhibited by Human. Later some point of time, when the Black-cat felt the kittens can survive without the aid of the mother it left them out to this world. Time went by and few weeks back, early December ’09, the black-cat was ready for another innings and it successfully gave birth to few more kittens. It chose the place this time as a cupboard in our Hall. And every morning I leave from home it enters our home, meets its kitten, feeds then and leaves the hall. Believe me, it wont search for food during this time, since its main intention is to meet her kittens.

Time went on nicely, but one day when the black-cat was not in home, the kittens walked from the cupboard and was searching for its mom. And also found a way to reach the outside of the hall. It was just few minutes that my mom heard few noise and went out to check what happened. But it was too late as the kittens were already killed by the villain Golden-cat. Whole of our family was in shock rest of the week. The black-cat, not knowing of what happened early on the day, came home later that night, showed signs to me to open the door. And I opened my house door and it entered the hall with a great joy to meet its kittens. But unfortunately it couldn’t find them. We thought it will realize from this and understand that something wrong had happened. But even today, 6 days after this terrible incident, the cat enters the hall, checks for it beloved ones, screams for few minute, stays there with pity and leaves the room with a sad face. This incident is really painful not only shows that the Mother :) Child love is immeasurable, but also is incomparable. I never believed myself to be so emotional in seeing this incident. I knew I can’t do anything special for this incident but certainly can realize the value of True Love!!!

Designing... err this time... It’s programming my life. :)

Yup!!! This is the topic this time, in fact after a long time. Its regarding my job change which I had few weeks back. Joined my first Organization (due to copyright abuse named it as - Coteso) during a Spring season. Something was said that time itself - it is a spring so you will jump one day... -Raghavan's Instinct. :D

Yes that day too came and I had a jump. I still can't forget my interview day at my college, where I entered with no clue about Computer Programming and came out with an offer. Now, I am also one of the million travelers in this ship, which threatens to sink once in 4 years ;)

After few weeks of interview struggle got an offer from 2 IT Giants and finally chose one who is really an Indian... :) Time during my job search was really remarkable, in fact I came to know basics of many technologies, which I should have known 3 years back.. :D... Thanks for the Gentleman, who chose me for that job position in his Organization. Later on a Monday after a new year I joined Information Systems, an IT Giant - a company which has massive chase for CEO in past few years. Now it’s just 10 days from the joining and its all set for new goals, new technologies, new people and in fact completely new life... :)

On the first day of joining, it’s all set for new job and new role. I was very eager to get to the project and start coding from the time I got a machine. I entered the company with all my documents in a bag, which was gifted by my friend and with professional attire – mmm… with a tie. I really need to thank youtube for providing samples of how to tie a tie... :) After I entered the campus, submitted all documents and induction went on with yarns. Best part in induction is we have a 1 hour break between each session. During this time, many start to meditate and few like me started to use non-polluting vehicles - bicycles - to roam around the campus. Believe me when you start roaming this campus you feel you are flying, yup it’s a big campus and you will reduce weight once u start roaming.

Now, regarding the food - here we have a variety in food with more or less same taste. :D And most important feature in this campus is the dormitory, an excellent place to stay for more than an hour. Apart from this dormitory and cycling, here they have good sports club where they provide options to play snooker, bowling, TT and of course cricket. But unfortunately I am not able to join these games since I don't have necessary kit and importantly a partner... ;)

With my 3 years with Coteso, I really missed one important thing in my life - a must for every software professional. Yes, it’s the bench time. Thanks for my new company, who encouraged me in attaining this happiness after 3 years of my career. :D... Hope in few days I might be allocated to a work where I can start my real coding stuffs... meanwhile I want to tell something that I am back to blog. Courtesy : my new company. :D

First few Dollars I earnt...

First time when i entered through the doors of designing, I didn't even think I will earn a USD. But after I started GFXRebels.com, I had plans to keep Premium subscription, costing 5$ lifetime validity, and earn lots of USD. I kept adding contents for my premium users and was waiting that atleast one will purchase for a premium subscription. Later one day I felt that my approach in promoting subscription is ineffective. And I started to think of various methods to promote GFXRebels and important thing is doing the same in a cost effective manner.

I was ready to spend a maximum of 10$ per month in promotions, also had plans to increase the amount based on the response from my members. I was partly successful with some of my strategies: referral contest, graphic battles among members, point system and team battles. I also got 30-40 members per day visiting my site. But still the premium members section was empty. I don't want that that section to be empty chaired and hence I started to award my members with premium membership for some of their works... :D

Things went smooth as a melody and my site reached member count in 3 digits. One fine day, I felt I need to submit few contents to some other tutorials sites, so I could get 5-10 members from them. Hence I submitted 3 of my member's tutorials to pixel2life.com, shortly called as P2L. I wasn't aware that there will be a big tycoon waiting for me. After my tutorials was approved from P2L, I received a congratulations mail from them and I didn't take much care about it. Next day I was surprised to see my site, Tycoon had hit and the member count jumped from 150 to 750, yup 600 members in a day..:) My first thought seeing this huge improvement was that my DB got corrupted and I need to fix it ASAP. But later when I came to know that most of the traffic are from P2L. From this day I started to get 3-5 premium member per day for the whole week. I used paypal for my online transactions and for the first time I saw 4.5$ credited in my account tears rolled from my eyes since 0.5$ was taken as fee amount..;) (During this time only I came to know that fee will be deducted in paypal). Once my earning crossed 50$, I introduced further more strategies like increasing prize money for normal members, arranging special contest for premium members and more importantly, kept discussing with my forum moderators in keeping my site at its own high standards.

Time came for me to concentrate on my entrance exam for my PG and I need to sell my site. Digitalpoint helped in this. I kept my site in marketplace and I thought to sell GFXRebels to some good amount. David Lithman, a English men with high thoughts, through digital point enquired about GFXRebels and was eager to buy my site for 400$. GFXRebels was just 3 months old when I gave it to Lithman. Now, Lithman made many changes in the site and I feel really happy to see GFXRebels as one of the leading sites in graphic world.

Few things I learnt in my first few dollars I earned is never feel your site is unworthy. Also keep promoting your site not only with smart but also with cost effective techniques.

Designing (in) my Life...

Note: Hi, this is my first blog [உ (Pillaiyar suzhi.. ;))] and if u feel I need to improve my blogging/writing skills, let me know.

During my schoolings, I was an unusual boy whose didn't care about his future and spent his time dreaming to be a cricketer. :) But Time, which does change everything along when it changes and this same time also changed me. During my 10th Std holidays, when I went to Mettupalayam, a small beautiful town in TamilNadu, there I saw a few flash works made by my relative' friend. Those were so inspiring that they made me to look through the windows of photoshop and flash. My interest in design grew only because there was no one to play cricket with me. My first design was writing my name in different colors and making my name to zoom in and out. I made a few flash stuffs and the most remarkable was my 2002 new year wishes. And till that time too I didn't want to learn or to earn using my designing skill but something was planted in the mind.

During my teenage, often I used to develop sites... But my only problem was that I didn't have any content for my site.. :D... But I thought to start my site and earn something with that. And finally I made my first web page and applied for Google adsense. It got approved from Google and I placed my first banner in my site. But my only thought in that age was more of earning instantly and I started to click my ads and expected my earning to cross 100$ per month. But Google, a hub of real intelligent people, kicked off my site very soon. And I realized that earning through websites I need to have lot of professionalism.

One fine day when I was browsing, I came across planetrenders, a site related to graphics, and I got impressed by the world of graphics. And the seed which was planted in me sprouted out and I started to learn photoshop... Later I thought I should start my own site similar to planetrenders. After much analysis I started my first commercial site, GFXRebels.com. I developed the site and earned good respect in the designer's club. My site had very good content and earned good money through it. Then I wanted myself to enter into professional graphics and learnt a few things about it. Digitalpoint helped me a lot to get more customers for my web design works. I learned more about my customers and how to satisfy their requirement. Now one more seed has been planted and its for marketing.

Now my plans is to take my web designing to next level and I am working on it. While designing web stuffs for my clients, I learnt that I am passionate about one more thing, and its marketing. Hence one more seed is planted in my mind. Now, I am planning to pursue post graduation in Marketing. Lets see how this seed sprouts out... :)
